Patination of the bronze cast In The Hague at the Rosarium in the Jozef Israels Square, sits the monument for Queen Emma, dating from 1937. The limestone statue for this monument, designed by the sculptor Toon Dupuis, had suffered severely from plastering, vandalism and continuous cleaning. |

The final bronze statue, a cast of the restored original statue |
At our suggestion, the choice was made to replace the statue by a bronze cast, much more resistant against vandalism. First, with help of pictures of Queen Emma, a reconstruction of the original was made, after which it was cast in bronze.
The original is kept in storage and the bronze cast has been placed on the restored monument. |
