The Tower of Our Lady

The Tower of Our lady in Amersfoort was restored from 1993 - 1996.
Hereby, all tuffstone parts have been replaced because they were too weather-beaten.
For this project we made the ornamentation. The tower contained twelve tuffstone consoles from around 1930.
We chose to replace these consoles by new designs in volvic basalt lava.

The figures represent persons who played an important role in the town’s history.

Ton Mooy designed them and realized them in stone.
