In the past we have replaced and restored various works of sculpture for Kasteel De Haar. A remarkable project was the group of statues at the end of the cross-pond. Originally, these consisted of two figures of 2.20 m high, representing Venus and Bacchus. |

Bacchus was missing an arm and of Venus only the torso and one footpiece remained. On the basis of these fragments Ton Mooy designed and hew a new Venus and he equipped Bacchus with a new arm, after which the intimate tête-à-tête could be continued. |
