Entrance party Huis Bergh.
The sculpture that adorns the main entrance of Huis Bergh was made in Baumberger limestone.
This kind of stone weathers rather fast and due to this there had been ample repairs with grout. As the erosion had carried on behind the repairs it was decided to have a copy hewn.
The entire entrance party, stone with coat of arms, pilasters and sculptures on the staircases have been hewn in Bentheimer stone. The old sculpture work has been exposed indoors where it’s kept from further erosion.
